Our Reason Why

Massie Provisions began in our kitchen—long before we had product labels or a name, before markets or websites. It started with a simple need: to care for our family in a way that felt good, honest, and whole.

Our oldest son, Cooper, had persistent eczema as a baby. Like many parents, we were handed tube after tube of steroid cream and told, “This should help.” But it didn’t—not really. And more than that, we weren’t comfortable putting something on his skin that we couldn’t even pronounce.

So we did what parents do when they’re desperate and determined: we figured it out ourselves.

We started researching ancestral remedies. We read books, asked questions, tested formulas. And that’s when we discovered the magic of tallow—an ingredient our great-grandmothers would’ve recognized, but the modern skincare aisle had nearly forgotten. With just a few simple ingredients and a whole lot of purpose, we made our first jar of balm. And it worked. Not just for Cooper’s skin, but for ours too.

That one jar turned into five, then fifty. We shared with friends and neighbors, and their stories started to echo ours. Skin irritations soothed. Simplicity appreciated. A desire to move away from chemical-laden products toward something better.

Now, Massie Provisions has grown to include tallow balms, scrubs, salves, and more. But we’re still grounded in the same mission:
